AEG Vision in Dell Rapids, SD is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to join our front desk team. You will greet patients, manage schedules, coordinate with care teams, and ensure a smooth patient flow throughout visits.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, basic computer skills, and strong communication. You’ll support insurance checks, EMR data entry, and patient billing while maintaining confidentiality and delivering a patient-centered experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer literacy and ability to learn EMR.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for patient-centered service.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, customers, and vendors; serve as the primary contact for patient interactions.
• Schedule patient appointments and optimize provider schedules, manage cancellations and same-day fill opportunities.
• Execute appointment confirmations and reminders to reduce no-shows.
• Verify insurance eligibility and patient demographics; enter information in EMR.
• Collect and document charges, co-pays, and payments; support billing and accounts.
• Run reports to ensure charges are billed and up to date.
• Monitor daily patient flow and adjust provider schedules as needed.
• Communicate wait times and next steps to maintain a positive experience.
• Coordinate with clinical and optical teams to ensure smooth transitions of care.
• Support retention through recall and reactivation outreach; assist in reminders for annual visits.
• Maintain an organized, clean front office.
