Job summary

AEG Vision seeks a Patient Care Coordinator to manage front desk operations, patient flow, and scheduling across the care team. You will ensure smooth guest interactions and accurate data entry in the EMR for efficient visits.

Responsibilities include appointment management, insurance verification, and communication with patients regarding care plans and payments, helping to maintain a positive patient experience throughout the visit.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to learn EMR and practice management systems.
• Confidentiality and patient-centered service.
• Ability to work across teams.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and be the primary contact at front desk.
• Answer calls, inquiries, and manage emails professionally.
• Schedule appointments and optimize provider calendars.
• Confirm appointments and reduce no-shows.
• Verify insurance eligibility and enter data in EMR.
• Explain coverage and patient financial responsibilities.
• Prepare charts and documents before visits.
• Process charges, co-pays, and payments in EMR.
• Run reports to ensure charges are billed and up to date.
• Coordinate patient flow with clinical and optical teams.
• Support retention through recall and follow-ups.
• Maintain organized, clean front office.
• Perform other duties as needed by Practice Manager.
