Job summary

Summit Orthopedics is hiring a Patient Coordinator to manage clinical support coordination, schedule follow-ups and surgeries, and liaise across care teams. This full-time float role requires covering multiple Summit campuses and may include outreach site coverage.

Under supervision of the Practice Development Manager, you will triage calls, enter orders, handle patient forms, and support physician-driven patient care while maintaining accurate records and coordinating with service lines.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or better.
• Associates degree or better in Medical Assistant or related field preferred.
• 2 years: Associate degree or completion of a community or technical college program in medical administration or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Manage the clinical support coordination of the patient’s care, including scheduling follow-up appointments and surgery coordination.
• Coordinate scheduling and logistics; communicate across care teams and Summit departments.
• Provide non-clinical support in patient care as directed by physician or provider.
• Answer and triage patient phone calls, manage voicemail and email, and support care team.
• Maintain worklists and enter physician orders into the electronic medical record.
• May assist with non-complex patient forms and provide information packets per physician protocols.
• Back-up to other teams as needed and assist with voicemail, email and task lists.

Education

High School or better.

Associates or better in Medical Assistant or related field.
