Job summary

Summit Orthopedics in Minnesota seeks a Patient Coordinator to manage clinical support coordination and scheduling for patients. Under supervision of Practice Development Manager, you will handle follow-up appointments, surgery coordination, and cross-team communication to support patient care.

This full-time float role typically runs Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM, with primary locations TBD and potential coverage at outreach sites.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Associates of Medical Assistant preferred.
• 2 years of experience in medical administrative/health care setting or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Answer patient calls and triage messages daily.
• Manage physicians’ and clinics’ schedules and surgery calendars.
• Coordinate patient care between team members and care lines.
• Enter physicians’ orders into the electronic medical record.
• Assist with non-clinical forms (FMLA, STD, workers’ comp) when directed.
• Provide patient information packets per physician protocols.
• Back up other teams and assist with voicemail, email, and task lists as needed.
• Room patients and initiate visits as directed.
