Job summary

VSP Vision is seeking an organized and empathetic team member to assist Optical Outlets patients and support the Doctor and Office Manager in maintaining excellent patient flow. You will greet customers, explain pricing, verify insurance, and help with eyewear dispensing.

The role requires 1–2 years in a related field, strong MS Office skills, and excellent communication to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. A great team environment and opportunities for growth are offered.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in related field.
• Working knowledge of MS Office.
• Effective verbal communication skills.
• Effective written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and rapport-building skills.
• Ability to ask questions to identify patient needs.
• Ability to listen, process transactions and interact with patients simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• For remote/hybrid roles, maintain virtual engagement and camera presence.

Responsibilities

• Provide unsurpassed customer service to attract and retain customers.
• Greet customers and explain exam pricing transparently.
• Check-in and pretest patients efficiently and accurately.
• Verify insurance prior to Doctor encounter.
• Answer phones properly and promptly.
• Assist in other office areas, including dispensing eyewear.
• Serve as a center of excellence with focus on Right the First Time patient satisfaction.
• Handle eyewear adjustments or fittings carefully and accurately.
• Inform Office Manager of office problems noted by staff, doctors, or patients.
• Perform all tasks assigned by Office Manager.
