Job summary

VSP Vision is seeking a part-time Optical Front Desk Associate to assist patients and support the Doctor and Office Manager in maintaining smooth patient flow. You will greet customers, verify insurance, handle check-ins and pretests, and assist with eyewear dispensing in a fast-paced optical office environment.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of related experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Provide unsurpassed customer service to attract and retain customers.
• Greet customers and explain exam pricing transparently.
• Check-in and pretest patients efficiently.
• Verify insurance prior to Doctor encounter.
• Answer phones promptly.
• Assist in dispensing eyewear as needed.
• Maintain patient satisfaction from first interaction.
• Perform eyewear adjustments and fittings accurately.
• Report office problems to the Office Manager.
• Perform tasks assigned by Office Manager.
