Job summary

VSP Vision is seeking a customer-focused associate to help patients select eyewear and contact lenses that best fit their prescription and lifestyle. You will guide frame choices, coordinate measurements, and suggest optimal lens options while delivering high-quality care and service.

The role requires strong communication skills, the ability to multitask in a busy environment, and accurate handling of pricing and insurance processes.

Qualifications

• One to two years of experience in related field
• If Required by State: Applicable State licensure or certification by a nationally recognized optician association as an optician
• Working knowledge of MS Office package
• Demonstrated ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Determine reason for visit and recommend eyewear following optometrist prescription
• Deliver exceptional customer service to attract and retain customers
• Assist customers in frame selection and coordinate measurements and prescription
• Recommend lenses, coatings, and frames to suit needs and occupations
• Take measurements and assist with adjustments and troubleshooting
• Ensure pricing and delivery quotes are accurate
• Provide concise communication and maintain positive team relationships
• Merchandise displays and assist with insurance billing and orders
• Document patient communication in practice software
• Participate in special projects and related duties as needed
