Job summary

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator I to act as a professional liaison for patients, families, care providers, and Alliance members. The role uses critical thinking to facilitate and operationalize complex scheduling across multiple systems, ensuring continuity of care.

This position offers partial on-site work at the Issaquah Community Site with remote options, 40 hours per week, Mon–Fri 8a–5p.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Bachelor's degree preferred (BA/BS).
• Experience with scheduling systems and data entry.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Schedules all patient appointments related to treatment and communicates with patients.
• Works with patients, families, providers, and staff to identify needs and follow up.
• Update patient and caregiver contact information in the EHR.
• Triages calls from referring physicians and patients accessing care.
• Assists with training of new staff and cross-coverage as needed.
