Optum is seeking an Associate Patient Care Coordinator to provide patient-oriented service in a clinical setting. You will greet patients, check in, collect demographics and co-pays, verify insurance, and assist with referrals and authorizations.

This full-time role at Frick Hospital or ED will require flexibility across shifts, including overtime as needed. We offer 3-4 weeks of paid training, a competitive benefits package, and opportunities for growth within a global health company.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years in customer service or similar role using computer and phone.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends or holidays as needed.
• Must have valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Register patients by collecting demographics, health information, and verifying insurance.
• Enter and verify patient data in computer systems in real time.
• Process referrals, pre-certifications, pre-determination, and pre-authorizations per plan requirements.
• Verify coverage, benefits, and create price estimates; manage reverifications as needed.
• Collect co-pays and discuss financial obligations with patients.
