Optum Hopewell Junction is seeking an Associate Patient Care Coordinator to support patient check-in, registration and insurance verification in Hopewell Junction, NY.

You will collaborate with care teams, collect co-pays, maintain records in EPIC, and ensure timely scheduling and smooth admissions in a fast-paced environment.

Salary ranges hourly from $16.00 to $29.00, with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1+ years of computer proficiency experience (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• 1+ years of customer service or healthcare-related experience.

Responsibilities

• Obtain accurate and updated patient information such as name, address, insurance information.
• Assists patients with signing in and completing registration.
• Enters and scans patient demographics and insurance information into Epic.
• Verifies insurance eligibility and benefit information; informs patients of insurance benefits.
• Collects co-payments and patient balances according to OPTUM payment guidelines.
• Ability to maintain a work queue and complete pending actions (referrals, scheduling).
• Confirms and schedules appointments.
• Check-in and check-out patients.
• File and maintain medical records.
