Job summary

UnitedHealth Group, through Optum NY/NJ, seeks an Associate Patient Care Coordinator for our Brewster, NY location. The role supports patient intake, scheduling, insurance verification and coordination of care, using EPIC to maintain accurate records and ensure HIPAA privacy compliance.

The position offers a structured 40-hour work week, with potential cross-office coverage and a comprehensive benefits package designed to support patient care and team collaboration.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of computer proficiency with Outlook, Excel and Word.
• 1+ years of customer service or healthcare experience.
• Ability to travel 10% to other offices as needed for coverage.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and helpful manner.
• Verify insurance information and register new patients.
• Document patient information and input for scheduled appointments.
• Maintain EPIC-based patient records and ensure privacy compliance.
• Answer incoming/outgoing calls, direct messages, and assist with referrals and scheduling.
