Job summary

Optum in Everett, WA is seeking an Associate Patient Care Coordinator to be the first point of contact for the practice. You will organize daily activities, verify insurance, schedule appointments and ensure accurate documentation while delivering friendly, HIPAA-compliant service.

This role supports the care team, adheres to Lean processes, and may cover multiple offices. The 38-hour work week includes early mornings and rotating weekends; strong communication and computer skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• 1+ years of computer proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• 1+ years of customer service or healthcare experience.
• Ability to travel to other locations if needed for coverage purposes.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients in person and by phone.
• Obtain and update patient information and insurance data.
• Verify insurance on date of service.
• Process payments and maintain HIPAA compliance.
• Schedule and coordinate patient appointments.
• Maintain organized, clean workspace and accurate records.
• Support team to meet financial, clinical and service goals.
