Job summary

Upperline Health is seeking an energetic, compassionate Patient Care Coordinator to assist our physicians in delivering complex health services in the clinic setting. This role is based in Clermont, FL and will be responsible for welcoming patients, performing front desk receptionist duties, and ensuring accurate check-in for timely appointments.

The coordinator will schedule appointments, maintain on-time clinic flow, and help maintain patient records in the EMR (Athenahealth).

Qualifications

• Experience as a front-office receptionist or in a healthcare clinic or customer service.
• Prior experience in podiatric or orthopedic practice preferred.
• Medical billing and coding experience highly preferred.
• Experience using EMR systems, Athenahealth preferred.
• Excellent grammar and interpersonal communication; empathetic and professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Front desk duties: greet patients, answer calls, collect required information, and keep entrance area organized.
• Assist patients with scheduling appointments and maintain on-time schedules.
• Notify physicians when patients have arrived and manage check-in process.
• Retrieve and file patient records; update information and scan documents into EMR.
• Collect payments and manage office supplies; protect patient confidentiality.
• Support team with additional duties as needed.
