Job summary

Upperline Health in Florida is seeking an energetic Patient Care Coordinator to support physicians in delivering clinic-based health services. You will greet patients, check them in, and ensure timely scheduling and reception.

This role requires strong communication, accuracy in EMR entries, handling payments, filing records, and coordinating with the care team to maintain on-time appointments and patient confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Experience as a front-office receptionist or in a healthcare office or customer service.
• Experience in podiatric/orthopedic practice is a plus.
• Medical billing/coding experience is helpful.
• Experience with EMR systems, preferably Athenahealth.
• Clear, professional communicator with strong grammar.

Responsibilities

• Handle front desk duties: answer calls, greet patients, obtain information, and keep entrance area organized.
• Assist patients with scheduling appointments.
• Maintain on-time schedules by notifying physicians when patients arrive.
• Retrieve and file patient records as needed.
• Collect payments from patients.
• Update patient information and scan documents into EMR.
• Manage office supplies and inventory.
• Protect patient confidentiality and rights.
• Support team with additional duties as requested.
