Job summary

The Patient Care Coordinator at Providence is the first point of contact for patients and visitors, delivering exceptional service in person or by phone and connecting patients with providers throughout the administrative flow.

You will perform front and back-office duties, support scheduling and registration, verify insurance, and maintain accurate EMR documentation in EPIC, contributing to clinic efficiency and compassionate care in the Portland Metro area.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in medical/healthcare setting.
• Experience providing a high level of customer service in a fast paced environment, including handling confidential data with discretion.
• Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact, providing exceptional customer service to patients and visitors in person and by phone.
• Act as a liaison between patients, providers, and care teams to ensure a smooth patient experience.
• Perform front and back-office duties, including scheduling, registration, insurance verification, updating demographic information and patient support.
• Maintain clinic efficiency through accurate documentation and adherence to workflows within the electronic medical record (EPIC).
• Demonstrate growth and proficiency in supporting Providence’s mission of compassionate, high-quality care.
