Job summary

Providence Health & Services - Oregon North is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, delivering outstanding service both in person and by phone. You will liaise between patients and care teams to ensure a smooth experience, handling scheduling, registration, and insurance verification within the EPIC system.

You will join a float pool supporting PMG clinics across the Portland Metro area.

Qualifications

1 year of experience in medical/healthcare setting.
Experience providing a high level of customer service in a fast paced environment, including handling confidential data with discretion.
Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience.

Responsibilities

Serve as the first point of contact, delivering exceptional customer service to patients and visitors in person or by phone.
Act as a liaison between patients, providers, and care teams to ensure a smooth patient experience.
Perform front and back-office duties, including scheduling, registration, insurance verification, updating demographic information and patient support.
Maintain clinic efficiency through accurate documentation and adherence to workflows within the electronic medical record (EPIC).
Demonstrate growth and proficiency in supporting Providence’s mission of compassionate, high-quality care.
