Job summary

Providence Health & Services in Oregon is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to join the Staffing Resource float pool for PMG clinics in the Portland Metro area. You will serve patients seen in Primary Care, Pediatrics, and Specialty Care, with shifts typically 8 or 10 hours and no weekend work required.

The role emphasizes excellent customer service, coordination between patients and care teams, and strong EMR documentation, using EPIC to maintain clinic efficiency.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in medical/healthcare setting.
• Experience providing a high level of customer service in a fast paced environment, including handling confidential data with discretion.
• Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact, providing exceptional customer service to patients and visitors in person and by phone.
• Act as a liaison between patients, providers, and care teams to ensure a smooth patient experience.
• Perform front and back-office duties, including scheduling, registration, insurance verification, updating demographic information and patient support.
• Maintain clinic efficiency through accurate documentation and adherence to workflows within the electronic medical record (EPIC).
• Demonstrate growth and proficiency in supporting Providence's mission of compassionate, high-quality care.
