Actalent is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to support patients and clinical staff by managing high-volume inbound calls, coordinating follow-ups, processing medication refills, and maintaining accurate EMR records. The role leverages Medical Assistant or Pharmacy Technician experience to provide clinical support, handle prior authorizations, and ensure timely lab communications in a fast-paced center.

The position is onsite in Orlando, FL, with a schedule Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year in medical assisting or pharmacy tech.
• Experience in high-volume call centers.
• Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems (Athena).
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Experience with ERX and medication tasks.
• Ability to order labs and enter results accurately.
• Experience with prior authorizations.
• Strong customer service on calls.
• Accurate data entry and records management.
• Comfort in fast-paced environment (100+ calls/day).
• BLS knowledge (where applicable).

Responsabilités

• Answer high-volume inbound patient calls in a contact center.
• Schedule follow-ups and document details accurately.
• Update EMR/EHR notes including Athena.
• Process electronic refill scripts (ERX).
• Order labs and ensure correct lab entry.
• Relay lab results to patients/clinics promptly.
• Assist with prior authorization processes.
• Communicate medical information clearly.
• Maintain up-to-date medical records per standards.
• Handle insurance inquiries and documentation.
• Deliver front-desk style customer service over the phone.
• Collaborate with healthcare team for continuity.
