Access Healthcare's Patient Access Engagement Division is hiring for a Patient Access Coordinator to handle high-volume inbound calls and schedule patient appointments across multiple clinical sites. You will input patient data, verify insurance, and document interactions in the client system while collaborating with teammates to meet department goals.

The role emphasizes HIPAA compliance, accurate data entry, and strong communication skills.

Competenze

• Experience with HIPAA privacy requirements.
• Experience with medical terminology and EHR systems.
• Healthcare customer service or clinical support experience is required.
• Call center experience is a plus.

Mansioni

• Answer a high volume of calls (75+ per shift) using a multi-line phone.
• Schedule appointments across multiple clinical sites per client protocols.

We are seeking dependable candidates who are able to handle back-to-back calls with limited breaks throughout the day, as this is a high-volume inbound call position.Patient Access Coordinators work collaboratively with several health organizations & clinics to schedule patient appointments and provide patient support over the phone.Supervisory Responsibilities:This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.Duties/Responsibilities:Answer a high volume of calls a day using a multi-line phone. (75+ calls/shift - Non-stop Calls)Schedule appointments for multiple clinical sites according to client-specific protocols.Gather & input patient demographic and insurance information into the practice management system.Report complex clinical issues to the appropriate supervisor/client partner.Document call activity, outcomes, and other notes as needed in the client system.Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet the goals and objectives of the department.Assist callers and navigate them to the appropriate resources.Must meet attendance and performance standards.Perform other duties as assigned.Required Skills/Abilities:EPIC SystemExperience using an EMR and scheduling softwareExcellent communication skills over the phoneAbility to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of attention to detailStrong Internet Speed & access to router via Ethernet Cord (Minimum speed: 20mbps Download & 6mbps Upload)Education and Experience:1+ Year(s) of experience with HIPAA and patient privacy requirements.2+ Years of experience with medical terminology, EHR systems, and insurance processes.2+ Years of experience in healthcare customer service or clinical support environments.2+ Years of experience working in a call centerPhysical Requirements:Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at a time.
