Job summary

Shields Health Care Group is seeking a Patient Care Representative/Technologist Aide in Weymouth, MA. The role focuses on exceptional customer service, patient intake, and coordination with radiology staff to maintain smooth patient flow.

Responsibilities include check-in support, language-services coordination, file distribution, and confidential handling of information while supporting mail, scheduling, and cash handling tasks. CPR certification and strong computer skills are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Must be CPR certified.
• Excellent communication skills and computer proficiency required.
• Attention to detail and typing accuracy required.
• Ability to follow instructions with minimal supervision.
• Proven ability to multi task and exceed customer expectations is required.
• Ability to sit for extended periods of time while simultaneously performing data entry and information intake via phone.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and collect copay/deductible/coinsurance and explain the consent form.
• Assist patients with iPad check-in; troubleshoot and provide feedback.
• Recognize when language services are needed.
• Distribute films/CDs while adhering to HIPAA and privacy policies.
• Collaborate with technologists/radiologists for proper patient flow.
• Process incoming/outgoing mail and deliveries.
• Set up for next day’s appointment; communicate potential issues.
• Maintain confidentiality of all customer groups.
• Verify and enter information into our systems.
• Respond to scheduling emergencies professionally.
• Support Customer Care with machine utilization by filling the template.
• Answer patient and doctor concerns accurately and efficiently.
• Keep management informed of situations with potential impact on department or company.
• Stay current on policy/procedure changes.
• Assist in patient interview process and prep of scan room.
• Maintain copay/petty cash accuracy and daily deposits.
• Perform other related duties as required.
