Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking an organized Physician Concierge Services associate to provide central referral access and scheduling support for physicians and patients. You will manage outbound calls, enter registration and insurance data, and coordinate outpatient appointments with referring providers.

Qualifications

• Two to three years’ experience in a physician office or healthcare setting.
• Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, medical specialties and patient care patterns.
• Strong customer relations, communication and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide enhanced customer service to physician offices in assigned territories.
• Schedule patients’ appointments with referring providers.
• Escalate access and service issues to leadership for resolution.
• Build relationships with community providers to increase network participation.
• Answer calls on the 1-800-431-5151 line professionally and courteously.
• Troubleshoot problems with judgment and discretion.
• Assist callers with medical information and referrals as needed.
• Coordinate and schedule outpatient appointments with clinics and managers.
• Enter patient demographics and insurance info into scheduling systems.
