Job summary

AEG Vision is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to support front desk operations, patient flow, and schedule optimization, coordinating across the care team for a seamless patient experience.

The role requires clear communication, proactive scheduling, and accurate entry of demographics and insurance information into EMR, with responsibilities spanning eligibility checks, appointment confirmations, and follow-up to maintain high-quality care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic computer literacy and ability to learn practice management systems (EMR).
• Strong organizational and communication skills with patient-centered service.
• Ability to work collaboratively across teams and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, customers and vendors; serve as the primary contact for patient interactions.
• Answer calls, respond to inquiries, and manage emails and digital communications.
• Schedule patient appointments and optimize provider schedules.
• Confirm appointments and send reminders to reduce no-shows.
• Verify insurance eligibility and enter patient demographics in EMR.
• Explain coverage and patient financial responsibility clearly.
• Prepare patient charts and documentation ahead of visits.
• Record charges, co-pays, and payments in EMR; manage balances and claims.
• Run reports to ensure charges are billed and up to date.
• Monitor daily patient flow and adjust schedules to maintain efficiency.
