AEG Vision is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to manage front desk operations, patient flow, and coordination across the care team. You will greet patients, handle calls and emails, schedule visits, and support insurance verification and billing in the EMR.

The role emphasizes proactive communication, patient-centered service, and collaboration across clinical and optical teams to ensure a smooth, high-quality patient experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer literacy and ability to learn practice management systems (EMR).
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with a patient-centered focus.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.

Responsabilités

• Greet patients, customers, and vendors; serve as primary contact for patient interactions.
• Answer calls, respond to inquiries, and manage email/digital communications.
• Schedule patient appointments and optimize provider schedules; manage cancellations.
• Execute appointment confirmations/reminders to reduce no-shows.
• Verify insurance eligibility and demographics; enter data in EMR accurately.
• Communicate coverage and patient financial responsibility clearly.
• Prepare patient charts and documentation before visits.
• Record charges, co-pays, and payments in EMR; monitor balances and claims.
• Run reports to ensure charges are billed and up to date.
• Monitor patient flow and schedules; coordinate with teams for smooth transitions.
• Communicate wait times and next steps to patients; maintain positive experience.
• Support recall and reactivation outreach for patient retention.
• Maintain organized, clean front desk area; perform duties as assigned.
