Job summary

InnovaCare Health seeks a Patient Care Coordinator to be the first impression for patients arriving at our clinics. You will assess, plan, and advocate for health needs while guiding patients through the intake and registration process with an emphasis on great service.

Responsibilities include managing waiting times, front desk workflow, and scheduling; handling payments and medical records; and assisting with hospital follow-ups as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service focus and communication skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and ICD-10/CPT coding.
• Proficiency with electronic health records systems and basic math.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a clinic setting.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes patients and visitors and manages the waiting area efficiently.
• Greet and assist patients, answer phones, and schedule appointments per guidelines.
• Maintain accurate registration and update personal and financial information.
• Assist with intake processes, scanning documents, and problem solving barriers.
• Collect payments (co-pays/deductibles) and balance daily deposits as needed.
• Manage front desk workflow and coordinate with Medical Assistants and providers.
• Maintain and file medical records, ensure timely scanning and filing of correspondence.
• Process requests for medical records release and logs.
• Support the case manager with scheduling hospital follow-ups when required.
• Demonstrate safe work practices and follow company policies.
