Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong customer service focus and communication skills.
• Teamwork orientation and ability to manage priorities.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and ICD-10/CPT coding.
• Experience with electronic health records.
• Ability to stay calm in emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and visitors; manages waiting room and notifies delays as needed.
• Manages front desk workflow and communications with medical assistants.
• Maintains accurate patient registration and records.
• Assists patients with health-care access, interpreters, transportation or prescription help as needed.
• Handles intake processes and scans documents.
• Collects patient financial responsibility (co-pays, deductibles, etc.).
• Manages cashier box and daily deposits per policy.
• Answers phones and schedules appointments; supports case manager with follow-ups.
• Maintains medical records and timely filing/scanning.
• Ensures all correspondence is scanned/ filed promptly.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
