Mountain Area Health Education Center - MAHEC seeks a Customer Care Associate to support patient check-in/out, scheduling, and a positive patient experience. The role includes updating demographics, verifying insurance, collecting payments, and coordinating interpreting services to ensure smooth visits.

Responsibilities extend to managing communications, preparing paperwork, and contributing to process improvements while delivering compassionate care in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus two years of relevant experience.
• Experience in a medical office/clinical environment preferred.
• Proficient with electronic health records and medical office software.

Responsabilités

• Check-in and check-out patients via phone or live, and schedule appointments.
• Update demographics and insurance information; verify insurance as needed.
• Collect payments, reconcile cash drawers, and refer to financial advocates.
• Coordinate interpreting services and provide clinical summaries after visits.
• Monitor waiting room and respond to walk-in patient needs; manage mail, scans, and faxes.
