Qualifications

• Advanced computer skills with medical office software and EHRs.
• Spanish language skills strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of medical office functions and workflows.
• Experience in a medical office/clinical setting is appreciated.

Responsibilities

• Check-in patients via phone or live.
• Update patients' demographics and insurance information.
• Verify insurance as needed.
• Collect payments and reconcile cash drawers.
• Refer patients to financial advocates as needed.
• Prepare and provide patient paperwork.
• Respond to walk-in patient needs and monitor waiting areas.
• Check-out patients and schedule appointments.
• Provide clinical visit summaries to patients.
• Coordinate interpreting services as needed.
• Monitor electronic health record inbox and follow up.
• Participate in orientation of new staff and workflow improvements.
• Support front desk and scheduling areas as needed.
• Provide satellite coverage as assigned and participate in outreach.
