Job summary

Mountain Area Health Education Center (MAHEC) is seeking a Patient Access Scheduling Coordinator to support timely scheduling across MAHEC clinics and specialties. You will assist patients with accounts, verify insurance and demographics, and prepare and manage necessary paperwork for visits.

You will interact with patients directly, ensuring accuracy and excellent service while coordinating with front-d desk staff and providers.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and two years of relevant experience in an ambulatory setting.
• Preferred qualifications include prior experience in a medical office/clinical environment.
• Must be able to manage multiple tasks and maintain accuracy in patient information handling.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patient appointments across all MAHEC clinics and specialty groups.
• Obtain and review patient legal documentation for risk review.
• Verify insurance and demographics; collect patient payments by phone.
