Job summary

Advocate Health Care in Park Ridge is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support registered nurses in day-to-day patient care. You will assist with bathing, feeding, mobility, and positioning, while documenting vitals and intake/output in the EMR.

You will also help with admissions, discharges, and routine rounds to ensure patient comfort and safety. Role requires Basic computer skills, strong communication, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Basic computer usage for charting and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assists RN with daily patient care: bathing, feeding, mobility, and positioning.
• Documents vital signs and intake/output in the EMR.
• Performs rounding and communicates observations to RN promptly.
• Supports admission, transfer, discharge processes and room setup.
• Collects samples and assists with point-of-care testing per protocol.
• Runs errands and maintains nursing area supplies and equipment.
• Assists with patient transfers and manual handling using proper techniques.
• Maintains skin integrity and uses patient-support devices as needed.
