Advocate Health Care in Park Ridge, IL seeks a Patient Care Assistant to support nurses in providing daily patient care, including bathing, feeding, and mobility, following hospital policies.

You will document vitals in the EMR, assist with rounds, and help with admissions and transfers, ensuring patient comfort and safety. The role requires teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs; prior hospital experience not required.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in hospital setting not required.
• Basic computer and documentation skills needed.

Responsabilidades

• Assist RN with daily patient care including bathing, feeding and mobility.
• Measure and document vitals (BP, temperature, pulse, resp) and daily weights in EMR.
• Perform purposeful rounding and promptly communicate observations to RN.
• Assist with admissions, transfers and discharges under supervision.
• Collect specimens as indicated and maintain patient belongings.
• Maintain clean work areas and restock nursing supplies.
• Lift and transfer patients using proper technique and assistive devices.
• Ensure call lights are reachable and answered promptly.
• Follow infection prevention policies and PPE requirements.
