Job summary

Advocate Health in Park Ridge is seeking a Nurse Aide to support RN with daily patient care, including bathing, feeding, positioning, and mobility assistance.

You will document vitals and intake/output in the EMR, perform rounds, assist with admissions and transfers, and help maintain clean, safe patient surroundings. Certification and BLS must be obtained within 45 days.

High school diploma or GED required; hospital experience is a plus; strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Education/Experience: High School Diploma or GED/HSED. Hospital-based certifications may be required.
• Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Basic computer skills, excellent oral and written communication, strong organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assists RN with daily patient care (bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, mobility, positioning).
• Measures and documents vitals and intake/output; records in EMR accurately.
• Performs rounds and communicates observations to RN; participates in admissions, transfers and discharges.
• Collects specimens and supports nursing tasks; maintains supplies and cleans equipment.
• Maintains skin integrity, proper use of TED hose and sequential devices; observes safety procedures.
