Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support day-to-day patient care on the Med Surg unit in Mount Pleasant. The role involves assisting with bathing, feeding, mobility, and basic patient care under RN supervision.

Candidates must have a GED or HS diploma and a current BLS, with Nurse Aide certification in good standing. This full-time position offers a rotating schedule, with weekends and holidays as described in the posting.

Qualifications

• GED or HS diploma required or equivalent.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers within 45 days.
• Nurse Aide in good standing with state registry.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with daily patient care (bathing, feeding, mobility).
• Record vitals, intake/output and chart in EMR.
• Perform admissions/discharges/transfer support under RN supervision.
• Collect specimens and assist with point-of-care testing as directed.
• Restock nursing areas, transport items, and maintain clean work areas.
• Assist with positioning, skin care, and patient safety measures.
