Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support licensed staff in the Med Surg unit at Mount Pleasant. Responsible for routine patient care, vital signs, and EMR documentation, with rotating shifts and weekend/holiday coverage.

The role requires BLS certification and Nurse Aide status in good standing, with GED/HS equivalency and no prior experience required. Shift schedule includes three 12-hour nights and on-site work in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with daily patient care (bathing, feeding, mobility).
• Record vital signs and inputs/outputs in EMR.
• Perform rounding and communicate patient observations to RN.
• Support admission/transfer/discharge processes and room setup.
