Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time Nursing Assistant to support daily patient care on the 35809 AMC Grafton unit. You will assist with activities of daily living, vital signs, documentation in the EMR, and coordination with the RN during admissions and discharges.

The role involves rotating weekends and holidays, with hours from 2245 to 0715. A GED or HS diploma and BLS/State Nurse Aide certification are required; no prior experience is necessary.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills required.
• Excellent oral and written communication expected.
• Strong organizational and prioritization abilities.
• Team members must maintain annual education requirements for hospital certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with daily patient care including bathing, feeding, mobility, and use of assistive devices.
• Document vital signs, intake/output, daily weights, and other data in EMR.
• Conduct rounds and communicate patient observations to RN.
• Assist with admission, transfer and discharge processes and prepare rooms and patient belongings.
