Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support the General Surgical unit. The role involves assisting with daily patient care, monitoring vitals, and documenting in the EMR under RN supervision.

Position requires BLS and Nurse Aide certification in good standing, with GED or HS diploma. 36 hours per week, rotating weekends and holidays, hourly pay range $20.80–$31.20, full-time benefits available.

Qualifications

• Certificate or diploma not required beyond GED/HS.
• BLS certification expected within 45 days of hire.
• Nurse Aide certification in good standing per State Registry.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with daily patient care including bathing, feeding, and mobility.
• Record vital signs and I&O; document in EMR accurately.
• Perform patient rounding and communicate observations to RN.
• Assist with admissions, transfers and discharges under RN guidance.
• Collect specimens and prepare them for testing as directed.
