Job summary

Montefiore Medical Center is seeking a Nursing Attendant to join a dedicated patient-care team in New York. You will help maintain a safe, clean environment and support dietary and mobility-related aspects of care, working under RN supervision.

Ideal candidates will have a state-certified nursing assistant program, 1–3 years of clinical experience, and strong English communication skills to ensure high-quality patient interactions and documentation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Graduate of State Certified Nursing Assistant program is required.
• 1-3 years clinical experience as a nursing student/foreign graduate nurse is required.
• Effective English communication skills, both written and oral.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (eating, bathing, ambulating) for neonatal to geriatric patients.
• Assist with hygiene needs including bathing, grooming, oral and perineal care.
• Assist with mobility and transfers, including use of splints/braces.
• Support skin care and pressure ulcer prevention measures.
• Provide patient comfort, rest, and sleep in a safe environment.
• Respond to call bells promptly and communicate with RN.
• Document observations, vitals, and any changes to patient conditions.
• Transport patients and hospital records as needed.
• Assist in preparing patients for procedures and post-procedure support.
