Job summary

Montefiore Medical Center in New York seeks an attentive Nursing Attendant to assist in daily patient care and unit operations. You will help with activities of daily living, hygiene, mobility, and comfort within a high-quality care environment.

The role requires a CNA program completion or clinical experience, plus BLS. You will contribute to infection control and patient safety while supporting the clinical team in routine tasks and patient transport.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Effective communication in English, both written and spoken.
• Graduate of State Certified CNA program or have 1 year of clinical experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) like eating, bathing and ambulating for patients across age groups.
• Meet hygiene and grooming needs including bathing, hair care and oral care.
• Assist with mobility and transfers, including ROM exercises and patient positioning.
• Support skin integrity via turning, positioning and use of pressure-relief devices.
• Provide patient comfort measures, bed making and safe patient handling procedures.
• Assist with elimination needs and urinary catheter care as directed by RN.
