Banner Health seeks a Front Office Patient Services Representative for Banner Staffing Services-AZ. This role coordinates patient flow, registers patients, verifies insurance, collects payments, and guides patients through financial options.

The position requires strong communication, multitasking, and office software skills, with per diem shifts across daytime hours in the Phoenix area.

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge of patient financial services, financial, collecting services or insurance industry processes.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with minimal supervision.
• Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs registration/check-in processes, including data entry, providing patient information and intake forms, obtaining signatures and generating population health summary.
• Verifies insurance eligibility and benefits for services rendered; assists in obtaining pre-certifications, referrals, and authorizations.
• Calculates and collects patient liability; explains financial policies and available resources for payment arrangements.
• Enters payments/charges and reconciles daily; balances cash drawer and prepares daily deposits for billing.
• Schedules office visits and procedures; maximizes reimbursement per payor plan provisions and confirms next-day appointments.
• Demonstrates proactive communication to resolve patient concerns via calls, emails, and in-person interactions.
• Assists in responding to requests for patient medical records per policy and laws; may escort patients and assist in patient flow.
