Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in patient financial services, financial, or insurance industry processes.
• Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with common office software (word processing, spreadsheets) is required.

Responsibilities

• Registers patients and collects signatures; verifies and documents patient and insurance information.
• Verifies insurance eligibility; assists with pre-certifications, referrals, and authorizations.
• Calculates and collects patient liability; explains financial policies and available payment options.
• Posts payments and reconciles daily transactions; balances cash drawer and prepares deposits.
• Schedules appointments and coordinates care across practices to maximize reimbursement.
• Communicates with patients via phone, email, and in person to resolve issues and support flow.
• Responds to requests for patient records per policy and laws; assists with related tasks.
• Supports patient flow by assisting with vitals, escorting, mailing/faxing information, and related duties.
