Job summary

Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush is seeking a full-time Appointment Coordinator for our Westchester, IL corporate office. The role centers on booking appointments across seven orthopedic offices, entering demographic and insurance data into the NextGen and Athena systems, and supporting staff with timely information.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma (GED acceptable), call center experience is a plus, and at least one year of work experience, preferably in a medical office.

• Call center experience is a plus.
• Minimum of one year work experience, preferably in a medical office setting.

Responsibilities

• Book appointments for patients, entering demographic and insurance data into NextGen and Athena systems.
• Reschedule patient appointments as needed and relay messages to staff.
• Answer telephone, screen calls, take messages, and provide information.
• Maintain and update physician schedules to ensure proper scheduling and confirmations.
• Assist staff and adapt to additional assignments as directed by supervisor.
• Stay professional and positive with patients, peers, and physicians; ensure accurate data entry.
