Job summary

Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush, with locations in Chicago, IL, is seeking an Administrative Professional to coordinate communications between clinicians and patients and gather necessary data to support care.

This role, based primarily in Chicago and Oak Brook clinics with occasional travel to Munster, IN, runs Monday through Friday and requires strong organization, multitasking, and proficiency in Microsoft Office to keep schedules and patient flow efficient.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal, customer service and communication skills within a team and with patients.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, including problem solving and prioritization.
• Excellent organizational skills and reliability with follow-up.
• Clear phone communication and conflict-resolution abilities for patient scenarios.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate communication between clinicians and patients and obtain necessary data.
• Assist with scheduling, triage, and patient appointments to maximize care.
• Answer calls, route information, take messages and manage voicemails and emails.
• Verify insurance and prepare the clinic day in EMR and office systems.
• Maintain clinic and OR schedules and assist with surgical scheduling on clinic days.
• Support materials needed for patient care and ensure data accuracy.
