Vance Thompson Vision in Sioux Falls, SD, is seeking a Patient Advocate to join our Retina team. You will verify insurance, schedule procedures, and serve as a key liaison between patients and the clinic.

Responsibilities

• Verify insurance coverage before patient arrival and determine in/out-of-network status.
• Complete verification forms with deductible, co-pay and coinsurance details.
• Prepare surgery schedules and post-operative appointments.
• Provide patients with estimates of financial responsibility.
• Create daily reports confirming in-network status and referrals.
• Answer patient calls promptly and address concerns.
• Obtain accurate insurance information and distribute fee schedules.
• Prepare and manage medical records as needed.
• Ensure preoperative testing and documentation are complete.
• Process Mission Vision and patient assistance applications.
