Job summary

Vance Thompson Vision is seeking a dedicated Ambulatory Surgery Center Registered Nurse to join our team. You will assess patients, educate them on procedures, and coordinate across perioperative staff to ensure a safe surgical experience.

The ideal candidate holds an accredited RN program credential and an active Montana RN license, with a commitment to ongoing learning and exceptional patient care. We offer a full benefits package and a collaborative, patient-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Must have completed an accredited RN program and hold a current RN license in the state of practice.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver patient-centered care.
• Excellent communication and willingness to continue learning and improving skills.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patients’ medical history and perform physical assessments.
• Initiate patient education plans per physician and policy; explain procedures to gain cooperation.
• Monitor vital signs and notify physicians of significant changes and reactions.
• Maintain patient comfort and safety; respond to emergencies per policy and protocol.
• Prepare patients for surgery: obtain consent, complete pre-op assessment, and administer needed medications.
• Coordinate with circulating nurse, recovery room nurse, anesthesia provider, and surgeon.
• Assess patient safety during recovery from anesthesia and medications.
• Ensure patients understand post-operative care requirements and follow-up.
