Knoxville Orthopaedic Clinic is seeking a Patient Accounts Coordinator to join our Revenue Cycle team. You will review patient balances, statements, payments, and insurance activity, ensuring account information is accurate and appropriately maintained.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in patient accounts, medical billing, collections, customer service, or healthcare environment helpful.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills are essential.
• Ability to research accounts, organize work, and pay attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Review patient accounts, statements, insurance activity, payments, and adjustments.
• Research account questions and discrepancies using documentation and history.
• Communicate balances and next steps to patients by phone, portal, or mail.
• Establish and monitor approved payment arrangements and follow up.
• Route adjustments, refunds, billing corrections, or collections as needed.
• Escalate complex accounts involving bankruptcies, bad debt, or legal matters.
