Job summary

Summit Medical Group in Knoxville, TN is seeking a Patient Relations Specialist to identify, investigate and resolve billing issues on patient accounts. This full-time role is 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with potential for remote work after training.

You will answer patient calls and inquiries, maintain and audit account information, coordinate with insurers, and ensure compliance and confidentiality.

• Transfers charges to correct agency or carrier, when appropriate.
• Communicates with insurance companies as needed.
• Adjusts patient accounts according to established policies and procedures.
• Communicates problems, questions and concerns to supervisor.
• Adheres to corporate compliance plan.
• Maintains confidentiality.
