Job summary

Knoxville Hospital and Clinics is seeking a part-time Surgery Scheduler to coordinate all surgical procedures and ensure complete patient and insurance information is collected for scheduling. You will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providers, and families, and maintain accurate charts and documentation.

The role requires strong communication, organization, and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must have LPN license active in Iowa.
• Ambulatory or Surgery department experience preferred; clinical experience required.
• Excellent communication, customer service and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Basic life support (BLS) required by end of orientation.

Responsibilities

• Schedule all procedures in the surgery department.
• Serve as first contact for patients, employees and families.
• Ensure complete clinical and insurance information for scheduling.
• Manage daily surgical procedure logs and patient charts.
• Coordinate with provider offices for required documents.
