Job summary

CommonSpirit Health in Bryan, TX, seeks an experienced leader to oversee hospital-based patient access operations across ED, main registration, admitting, and payer verification workflows. You will serve as a SME and first escalation point for complex registration, insurance, and financial issues.

You will coordinate daily assignments, guide staff, and ensure timely, accurate access activities while prioritizing a positive patient experience and adherence to policies and core values.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent at hire; associates degree or higher preferred.
• 3–5 years in patient access, hospital registration, or related role.
• Experience in senior/lead capacity within patient access.

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time operational leadership and workflow coordination for patient access across hospital areas.
• Coordinate daily work assignments to support patient flow and service standards.
• Escalate and resolve complex registration, insurance verification, and financial issues.
• Perform complex patient registration and financial clearance as needed.
• Explain patient financial responsibility and available assistance to patients.
• Coach and support Patient Access Representatives and Eligibility staff.
