Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a Patient Access Team Lead to provide operational leadership across hospital-based access areas, coordinating workflows and serving as the escalation point for complex insurance and patient account issues.

You will guide Patient Access Representatives and eligibility staff, ensuring timely registrations, regulatory compliance, and alignment with organizational mission in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in patient access, healthcare registration, admitting, or a related hospital-based access role.
• Lead or senior capacity within patient access or registration.
• Knowledge of insurance verification, patient financial processes, EMTALA.

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time guidance and support to Patient Access Representatives, Financial Counselors, and eligibility staff to ensure accurate registration activities.
• Coordinate workflows across emergency, admitting, and registration departments to reduce delays in patient care.
• Mentor team members in a fast-paced clinical environment and reinforce best practices.
