Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required on hire.
1 year of healthcare or patient access experience preferred.
Knowledge of patient registration procedures and health insurance concepts.
Ability to follow privacy and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

Perform patient registration across access points, ensuring accurate demographics and insurance verification.
Accurately scan, index, and manage patient documentation to support registration and billing workflows.
Communicate financial responsibilities and collect payments when appropriate.
Schedule, confirm, and adjust patient appointments to support timely access to care.
Identify and resolve routine discrepancies; escalate non-standard issues per workflows.
Provide patient-facing support via telephone and other channels, documenting interactions per procedures.
