Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• College degree preferred.
• 2+ or 4-year degree in Business, Accounting, Medical Administration or related area preferred.
• 4+ years experience in medical facility, health insurance, or related area.
• 5+ years experience in Patient Access preferred.
• 2+ years in supervisory or lead role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides daily support, mentoring, training to new hires and existing staff; assists with escalated issues.
• Assists in short and long range planning for Registration Process areas (Admitting, Centralized Scheduling, ED, clinics).
• Maintains positive customer service; helps staff resolve issues.
• Enforces policies; assists in developing and implementing new policies per hospital and corporate guidelines.
• Monitors daily activity and prepares performance/matrix reports (e.g., financial clearance).
• Performs all Patient Access functions as needed.
• Participates in management team to meet operational goals.
